Mr. Eberwein- Senior-Instructor and Owner
Mr. Eberwein, your instructor, is a Yon Dan (4th
Degree Black Belt) with over 31 years of experience teaching Kenpo. He obtained his fourth degree promotion in June 2006
from Grand Master Richard "Huk" Planas who is considered, by the Kenpo community, to be one of Mr. Parker's most knowledgeable students and a first generation Kenpo
black belt. Mr. Planas is the worlds leading authority on the subject of the whys of Kenpo, and has devoted his entire life
to the advancement of the art. Mr. Eberwein has been studying with Mr. Planas since 1979.
Maggie Lanner- Instructor
Trained in Isshinryu Karate, 1980-84; trained
in Kung Fu, 1985-89; trained in Tae Kwan Do, 1990-95; earned Fourth Degree Black Belt Tae Kwan Do, 1996; operated Karate school,
1997-2001; Kuden Jutsu instructor, Ocean City Fitness Center, 2001-.

Through a lifetime of hard work,
Maggie Lanner is both an example and a teacher of what can be accomplished when desire is combined with determination. Born
in Brooklyn N.Y after learning about martial arts Life on the Brooklyn streets was not easy for a twelve-year-old girl, but she was determined not to
be bullied again.
Martial arts are self-defense
techniques developed in various parts of Asia. While martial arts teach students how to fight,
an important characteristic of the training involves a spiritual and mental discipline that teaches students a way of thinking
about the world.

Nara Strickland, Beginners
Instructor
Trained in the Institute for Martial Arts 1992. Specialist training from the Kung
Fu University for self discipline and creative movement 1995. Mrs. Strickland brings the expertise and patience to work with
students interested in learning the introduction to martial arts. Her beginners class is an avenue to asses the skill level
and interest of individuals curious of the art of creative movement and martial arts practice. After an assessment of skills
Mrs. Strickland prepares students to transition into higher level classes taught by intermediate instructor Maggie Lanner
and senior instructor Dale Eberwein.
